Believe it or not, weather is one of my hobbies. I find it very fascinating, and according to Rita, I spend too much time watching it on T.V.
We don't have cable, so I get my fill of The Weather Channel via their web site. If you've ever visited their site, they have lots of information, but to see each of the individual weather maps, it is a time consuming process to navigate around them all. With that in mind, I have put together a page of Weather Channel images that contain my favorite weather maps. Please Note: This page contains approximately 575Kbytes of image data and may take a while to download depending on your internet connection speed.
I think the best web weather info resource is The Weather Underground. They have great looking pages with current weather stats, graphics, and the latest forecasts for many cities around the country. From the little input form below, you can get a city's current stats and forecast by entering the three character city code or a five digit zip code and then click 'Get It'.
by WSI Corporation as a source for current radar (including nexrad) and
satellite imagery. The satellite and composite radar images are updated every
three hours, but the nexrad image is updated every hour.
I am a Microsoft Flight Simulator buff. I'd love to fly the real thing, but
finances don't quite allow that. I can, however, afford some flight simulator
software and sceneries.
Over the years I have amassed a decent collection of scenery files (MSFS4.0), so
if you love to fly and can't find scenery for a particular area, ask me, I might
have it in my collection of sceneries (maybe eventually I can get them listed
online for download).
